FAQ
Everything you need to know about pricing, the assistant, funding applications, and privacy — clear and without fine print.
Fimu is your AI assistant for music and culture funding. Fimu finds matching programmes, drafts application texts, budget plans, and proofs of use, and accompanies you through reporting — with real funding expertise behind the scenes.
Fimu is for musicians, artists, associations, companies, NGOs, cultural practitioners, and individuals. The current focus is funding in the DACH region, with Germany clearly leading the rollout.
No. Fimu does not guarantee funding. Approval rests solely with the funding body. Fimu supports you with matching, drafts, and organisation — the decision always remains with the funder.
Fimu is currently in private beta. With an invite code you can sign up. Without a code you can request access on the beta page or join the waitlist to be notified at public launch.
Yes. Matching and the assistant stay free. During private beta you need an invite code to sign up — you can request access on the beta page.
The Fimu assistant and matching cost nothing. You only pay for creating an application text, budget plan, or proof of use — either pay as you go or with credits. Your first application text is free.
With Fimu you choose between pay as you go (pay per generation) and credits (prepaid, often cheaper, with optional auto top-up). Payments run securely via Stripe; SEPA direct debit is available when buying credit packs. See the pricing page for details.
With Fimu, exactly your first application text is free. Budget plans and proofs of use are not included and are charged according to your chosen payment model.
No. A rejection by the funder does not entitle you to a refund from Fimu. You pay for document creation, not for a funding decision. For technical issues or statutory withdrawal rights before generation starts, we are happy to help.
Yes. Fimu credits expire 24 months after purchase. Unused credits after expiry cannot be redeemed — use them in time for application texts, budget plans, or proofs of use.
You create a funding profile in Fimu, run matching, and pick a programme. The assistant clarifies missing info and drafts application text, budget plan, or proof of use from your profile and our knowledge base. You can review and edit everything before you submit.
Yes. With Fimu you can have applications reviewed by a human. Human review complements AI drafting — for extra confidence before submission.
Yes. Fimu continuously maintains programmes via crawling, extraction, and manual quality checks. Rules can still change at short notice — always double-check critical deadlines and guidelines with the funder.
You submit the application. Fimu prepares texts, plans, and proofs and supports you through the process; formal submission to the funder remains your responsibility.
Yes. In Fimu you can always adjust application texts, budget plans, and proofs of use before you export or submit them.
Texts and plans created with Fimu belong to you. You may freely use and edit them for your funding applications.
Yes — you review before submission. Fimu provides AI-assisted drafts based on your inputs and our database; accuracy and completeness remain your responsibility as the applicant.

If the Fimu assistant is stuck: reload the page, retry the action, and check the status in your application. If it persists, reach out by chat or email — we will help.
Yes. You can stop the Fimu assistant at any time. You will then no longer receive alerts about new programmes or active support for ongoing funding — and you incur no ongoing costs by stopping.
When Fimu is active, we remind you of deadlines in time — by email or WhatsApp, depending on your settings — so you do not miss submission or reporting dates.
